Homestead-Miami Speedway (HMS) hosted all three NASCAR premier series season-ending races this past weekend. Each series had four eligible drivers after the elimination playoff rounds competing for the series 2017 Championships. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series held the 134-lap Ford Ecoboost 200 on Friday night at the 1.5-mile oval in Homestead, Florida. The XFINITY Series 200-lap Ford Ecoboost 300 was featured on Saturday. The Championship weekend closed out at the track on Sunday, late afternoon into the night, with the Monster Energy Cup Series 267-lap Ford Ecoboost 400. Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS)
Time Trials: Denny Hamlin (No. 11 FedEx Express Toyota) won the Coors Light Pole Award for the Ford EcoBoost 400 with a lap of 173.980 mph. This is his 26th pole in 434 MENCS races. It is his second pole and 24th top-10 start in 2017 and his second pole in 13 races at Homestead-Miami Speedway (HMS). Martin Truex Jr. (second) posted his 29th top-10 start of 2017 and his seventh in 13 races at HMS. Kyle Busch (third) posted his eighth top-10 start at HMS and his 30th in 36 races this season. Daniel Suarez (10th) was the fastest qualifying Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender. Championship 4 Starting Positions: Martin Truex Jr. (second), Kyle Busch (third), Brad Keselowski (fifth) and Kevin Harvick (ninth).
Did not qualify: No one. 39 cars entered for 40 spots in the lineup.

Results: Martin Truex Jr. (No. 78 Bass Pro Shops/Tracker Boats Toyota) won the Ford EcoBoost 400, his 15th victory in 441 MENCS races. This is his eighth victory and 26th top-10 finish in 2017. It is his first victory and eighth top-10 finish in 13 races at Homestead. With the win, Truex becomes the 2017 MENCS Champion. Kyle Busch (second) posted his sixth top-10 finish in 13 races at HMS and his 22nd top-10 finish in 2017. Kyle Larson (third) posted his third top-10 finish in five races at HMS. Erik Jones (21st) was the highest finishing rookie. Jones is the 2017 MENCS Sunoco Rookie of the Year.

NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS)
Time Trials: Tyler Reddick (No. 42 BBR/Granger Smith Chevrolet Camaro), making his first start at Homestead, won the Coors Light Pole Award for the Ford EcoBoost 300 with a lap of 165.624 mph. This is his second pole in 18 NXS races. It is his second pole and ninth top-10 start in 2017. Cole Custer (second), the fastest qualifying Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender, posted his 24th top-10 start of 2017 and his first in two races at HMS. NCWTS regular Christopher Bell (third) posted his first top-10 NXS start at HMS. It is his seventh in eight NXS races this season.
Did not qualify: No. 46 Quin Houff, No. 55 Matt Mills and No. 89 Morgan Shepherd.

Results: Cole Custer won the Ford EcoBoost 300, his first victory in 38 NXS races. This is his first 19th top-10 finish in 2017 and first top-10 finish in two races at Homestead. Sam Hornish Jr. (second) posted his fourth top-10 finish in seven races at HMS. It is his third top-10 finish in 2017. William Byron (third) posted his first top-10 finish in his first start at HMS. Byron is the 2017 NASCAR XFINITY Series champion. He is also the 2017 NXS Sunoco Rookie of the Year.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS)
Time Trials: Chase Briscoe (No. 29 Cooper Standard Ford F-150), making his first start at Homestead, won the Keystone Light Pole Award for the Ford EcoBoost 200 with a lap of 167.499 mph. This is his fourth pole in 23 NCWTS races. It is his fourth pole and 17th top-10 start in 2017. Ben Rhodes (second) posted his 18th top-10 start of 2017 and his first in two races at HMS. Austin Cindric (third) posted his first top-10 start at HMS and his 15th in 23 races this season..
Did not qualify: No one. Only 32 entries for the 32 truck field.

Results: Chase Briscoe won the Ford EcoBoost 200, his first victory in 24 NCWTS races. This is his 14th top-10 finish in 2017 and his first top-10 finish in two races at Homestead. Briscoe also won the 2017 Sunoco Rookie of the Year title. Christopher Bell (second) posted his second top-10 finish in four races at HMS and his 21st top-10 finish in 2017. Bell also won the 2017 NCWTS championship. Johnny Sauter (third) posted his eighth top-10 finish in 12 races at HMS.
