Wrapup: Watkins Glen
On Saturday afternoon, the XFINITY Series held its 82-lap Zippo 200 at the 2.45-mile Watkins Glen International (WGI) road course in western New York. The Cup Series took over the facility on Sunday to feature the 90-lap I Love New York 355. The Camping World Truck Series will return next Saturday, August 12, for the LTi Printing 200 at Michigan Int’l Speedway. Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS)
Time Trials: Kyle Busch (No. 18 M&M's Caramel Toyota Camry) won the Coors Light Pole Award for the I Love New York 355 with a lap of 126.925 mph. This is his 25th pole in 448 MENCS races. It is his sixth pole (third consecutive) and 19th top-10 start in 2017. This is his second pole in 13 races at WGI. Kyle Larson (second) posted his 12th top-10 start of 2017 and his third in four races at WGI. Martin Truex Jr. (third) posted his fifth top-10 start at WGI. It is his 18th in 22 races this season. Daniel Suarez (fifth) was the fastest qualifying Rookie of the Year contender.
Did not qualify: No one. Only 37 cars entered for 40 spots in the lineup.
Results: Martin Truex Jr. (No. 78 Furniture Row/Denver Mattress Toyota Camry) won the I Love New York 355, his 11th victory in 427 MENCS races. This is his fourth victory and 15th top-10 finish in 2017. It is his first victory and seventh top-10 finish in 12 races at WGI. Matt Kenseth (second) posted his eighth top-10 finish in 18 races at WGI and 10th top-10 finish in 2017. Daniel Suarez (third) posted his career-best Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series finish. Pole-sitter Kyle Busch led 21 laps and finished the 90-lap race in seventh place.
Standings: Martin Truex Jr. leads the point standings by 116 points over Kyle Busch.

NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS)
Time Trials: MENCS regular Joey Logano, driving the No. 12 Snap-On Ford Mustang, won the Coors Light Pole Award for the Zippo 200 with a lap of 124.185 mph. This is his 34th pole in 167 NXS races. It is his third pole and seventh top-10 NXS start in 2017. It is also Logano's third pole in ten races at WGI. All his poles have come consecutively, and he won the race following his two previous WGI poles. Cup regular Kyle Busch (second) posted his sixth top-10 NXS start of 2017 and his ninth in ten NXS races at WGI. Another Cup regular, Kyle Larson (third), posted his third top-10 NXS start at WGI and his ninth in nine NXS races this season. Daniel Hemric (eighth) was the fastest qualifying Rookie of the Year contender.

William Byron (10th) was the highest finishing Rookie of the Year contender.
