Martin Truex Jr has back-to-back D500 top-10s

Feb 17, 2017

Martin Truex Jr. was second to Denny Hamlin last year in the closest Daytona 500 finish in history. That was his second consecutive top-10 in this race.
That was a vindication of sorts. Truex blew an engine in 2014 after qualifying on the outside pole. He was the first man out with a 43rd-place finish and had to claw his way through the ranks. Overall he has been a strong value, however, with half of his results ending 16th or better.
