Jimmie Johnson hits wall hard at MIS

Aug 12, 2017

Jimmie Johnson pounded the wall hard in final practice for the Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway and will have to roll out a backup car.
Johnson got loose on corner entry and stuck his nose in the wall. He will have to give up his 22nd-place spot on the grid. Johnson also used a backup this spring at Michigan and finished 10th. Three of his last four wins came after he was forced to start in the back.
