2. GAME PERIOD
The Game includes all NASCAR Sprint Cup Series™ races (each a “Race”) of the 2016 Season (the “Season”), from the start of the first Race on February 21, 2016, through the conclusion of the Season on or about November 20, 2016. Registration for the Game will begin on January 27, 2016 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time (“ET”) and end on November 20, 2016, five (5) minutes prior to the start of the last Race, (the “Game Period”). The NASCAR.COM servers are the official time clock for the Game.
3. HOW TO ENTER
There is no purchase necessary and no fee to register. During the Game Period, access the Game website at http://fantasygames.nascar.com/live (the “Website”) and follow the instructions to register for the Game. Limit one (1) registration/authorized account per person/e-mail address. Read and follow the How to Play Instructions to create your team(s) and join or create leagues. Each team constitutes one entry into the Game (“Entry”). Limit five (5) teams/Entries per person/e-mail address/authorized account during the entire Game Period. Participants can enter at any time during the Game Period. Although participants may register and begin forming Leagues and teams from the beginning of the Game Period, participants will not be able to select drivers for their teams until closer to the date of the first Race. Team selection will be available a minimum of ten (10) days prior to the first Race date (look for an announcement on the Website). All Entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of registration/entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) who is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Any participant who attempts to create additional accounts using multiple email addresses or under multiple identities, or uses any other device to enter more than the authorized number of teams into the Game will be disqualified as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Each participant may join up to five (5) Leagues (as defined in Section 5 below – “How to Play”), maximum of one team per League. False or deceptive entries or acts will render all of that participant’s Entries ineligible in Sponsor’s sole discretion.
4. RACE SCHEDULE
The Season consists of thirty-six (36) total NASCAR Sprint Cup Series™ races as listed below, each a “Race.” For the purposes of the Game, each Race constitutes a Weekly Period, with the Weekly Period beginning immediately following the conclusion of the prior Race and ending five (5) minutes prior to the official start time for each Race. The last ten (10) Races of the Season are also collectively designated as Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup™ (“The CHASE™”).
Below are the Races that will be used in the Game.

5. HOW TO PLAY.
A. Creating an Entry:
Participants must log on and register with NASCAR.COM, then access the Fantasy Games homepage for NASCAR® Fantasy Live located at http://fantasygames.nascar.com/live. To participate, create an entry by clicking PLAY NOW and then following the steps to create a single entry. A single email account registration can have up to five (5) entries.
B. Joining a League
Once an entry has been created, you may choose to join or create a League. Leagues can be established by anyone at any time throughout the Season. There is no minimum number of teams that may participate in a given League, and the League maximum is one hundred (100) teams. Leagues can be Public or Private. Public Leagues can be joined by anyone, provided the League has not reached its maximum number of teams. Private Leagues require the password of the League commissioner. In order for participants to be eligible for prizes, they must compete in a League of at least six (6) teams, either Public or Private. Participants in Leagues with fewer than six (6) teams will still earn points, but the winners of such Leagues will not be eligible for Weekly prizes or the Overall Prizes. League eligibility for prizes will be determined at the time winners are determined. For example, participants in a League with only four (4) teams will not be eligible for Weekly prizes, but if that League gains two (2) teams and reaches six (6) teams during Week 15, then the winners of that League for weeks 15 through 36 will be eligible for the Weekly prizes, so long as the League remains at six teams or more. However, if a League begins with six (6) teams and loses two (2) teams, resulting in four (4) teams, the participants in that League will no longer be eligible for the Weekly or Overall Prizes. Only participants in Leagues with at least six (6) teams at the end of the Game Period will be eligible for the Overall Prizes. Any registered participant can have up to five (5) active teams in up to five (5) different Leagues (maximum one team per League). A player can move a team from one League to another League at any time. A player may also remove a team from any League and continue playing, but any teams that are not in a prize-eligible League with at least six teams in it at the time prizes are being determined will not be eligible to receive any Weekly or Overall Prizes.
C. Game Play:
Manage one or more teams of five (5) NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers against a $100 dollar salary cap while picking drivers with the best chance at scoring the most points each week. Players can add or remove drivers at their discretion as long as each team stays under the $100 cap for each Race (selections are locked during the Race window). Each Team Roster must have five different drivers on it; however, a participant may place the same driver on one or more of his or her five teams. Teams must fill the full roster of 5 drivers to be scored. Teams with four or fewer drivers selected will receive zero points for the week. A player will earn points each week as described below based on the performance of the drivers on the player’s team(s) for that week. Players can also earn bonus points each week by successfully predicting the winning car manufacturer and/or driver for a particular Race.
D. Driver Valuation:
A driver’s value will rise and fall throughout the Season based on performance but once a driver is on a team, their value stays locked in at the time of purchase until they are dropped from the roster or a salary is renegotiated as described below. Each driver’s value will be posted on the Website by Tuesday of each Weekly Period, unless otherwise noted.
D. Setting your Team:
Participants will select five (5) drivers to make up a team of their predicted top-scoring drivers in that week’s Race. Participants will have until five (5) minutes before each Race’s official start time to select their Team. Official start time will be posted on the Game website and homepage for each League. In the event of any delay to the start of a Race, the roster lock time may be extended. Once a participant has selected his/her Team Roster, such Team Roster will carry over week-to-week unless the participant elects to change his/her Team Roster. Participants can make changes to their Team Rosters each Race week, but participants are not required to make changes. If a driver does not compete in a Race, that driver will not earn points for the team for that Race week, but remains on participants’ Rosters until dropped. Inactive drivers on a team will not incur any additional penalty.
F. Bonus Points:
For bonus points, participants will need to select their Winning Driver and Car Manufacturer predictions each week. Failure to do so will not result in a penalty, but no additional bonus points will be earned. If your team roster is not full with five (5) selected drivers for a given Week so that you do not receive any scoring points for that Week, you also may not earn any bonus points for that week. PICKS FOR CAR MANUFACTURER AND WINNING DRIVER DO NOT CARRY OVER WEEK TO WEEK.
G. Salary Renegotiation:
Should a driver’s value fall below the price originally purchased, a participant has the ability to Renegotiate Salary via the $$$ symbol located on the roster page. Renegotiating frees up cap space by applying the current value to any driver who has a lower value than when purchased. A participant may renegotiate salary at any time.
H. Scoring Format:
The drivers participating in each of the 36 Races of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule will be scored each week according to the categories below. Participants earn points each week for each of their teams based on the performance of the drivers on their team for that week. The total race points accumulated by each driver on a participant’s team, plus any Bonus Points earned, represent the participant’s Weekly Race Points for each team/entry. Weekly Race Points are used to rank participants within Leagues and Overall each week. Weekly Race Points are totaled for each team Race by Race to determine the Overall League and Game (All Participants) Rankings. Weekly Race Points and respective Rankings will be considered Final and will be posted to the site within 24 hours of the time when Race Results from NASCAR become official. Any penalties or adjustments to NASCAR official scoring after Game scoring has been finalized will not be reflected.
I. Scoring Categories:
Drivers are scored across four (4) statistical categories, originating from NASCAR’s official Race scoring. If a Driver on a participant’s Team Roster does not compete in a Race or is replaced by a substitute Driver, that Driver will be awarded zero (0) points for that Race. Regardless of what car they are in, the only Drivers who will receive points are those that actively start a Race.
Laps Led: Total number of laps led divided by 2. Example: If Carl Edwards lead 70 laps, he would earn 35 points. NASCAR Timing & Scoring will be the official source of this statistical category.
Fastest Laps: Total number of fastest laps divided by 2. Example: If Denny Hamlin recorded 50 fastest laps, he would earn 25 points. NASCAR Timing & Scoring will be the official source of this statistical category.
Place Differential: Starting position (based on official qualifying order) minus finish position, +/- 1 point for each driver’s place differential. Example: If Jimmie Johnson started 7th but finished 1st, his place differential would be +6, and he would earn 6 points. If Kevin Harvick started 6th and finished 10th, his place differential would be -4, earning him -4 points.
Finishing Position: 1st place gets 43 points, 2nd place gets 39, 3rd place gets 38, 4th place gets 37 points and so on in decrements of one point per position, with 40th place earning 1 point. The Game will be scored based on the final Race results tabulated by NASCAR Timing and Scoring.
Car Manufacturer: 10-point bonus for picking the winning car manufacturer for that week. Selection DOES NOT carry over from week to week; a new pick must be made each Race.
Winning Driver: 30-point bonus for picking that week’s winning driver. For example, if Kyle Busch is selected as that week’s winning driver, and Kyle Busch wins that week’s race, the player will receive 30 bonus points. No points will be lost for not selecting the winning driver. Selection DOES NOT carry over from week to week; a new pick must be made each Race. Pick for this bonus category is not required to be on the entry’s active five-driver team roster.
6. HOW TO WIN.
A. OVERALL PRIZES:
GRAND PRIZE: One (1) Grand Prize (the “Grand Prize”) will be awarded to the eligible player from a prize-eligible League who has the largest sum of Weekly Race points for a single team at the conclusion of the Game Period, as determined by Game rules (the “Grand Prize Winner”). If there is a tie for the Grand Prize Winner position, then the tied participant who earned the most points for that team in the last Race of the Season will be the Grand Prize Winner. If, after that tie-breaking round, a tie still remains, the tied participant who earned the most points for that team in the second-to-last Race of the Season will win. If a tie still exists, the tied participant who earned the most points in the third-to-last Race of the Season will be the Grand Prize Winner, and so forth until a Grand Prize Winner is selected. The Grand Prize Winner will be determined on or about November 22, 2016. The Grand Prize winner is determined based on skill by earning the highest number of points for the Game with a single team from a prize-eligible League. Only one Grand Prize will be awarded across all eligible Leagues. Winning your League does not guarantee you the grand prize. You must finish first across all eligible Leagues.
SECOND PLACE PRIZE: One (1) Second Place Prize (the “Second Place Prize”) will be awarded to the eligible player from a prize-eligible League who has the 2nd largest sum of Weekly Race points for a single team at the conclusion of the Game Period, as determined by Game rules (the “Grand Prize Winner”) OR is tied for the largest sum, but is not deemed the Grand Prize winner due to tie-break procedures. If there is a tie for the Second Place Prize Winner position, then the tied participant who earned the most points for that team in the last Race of the Season will be the Second Place Prize Winner. If, after that tie-breaking round, a tie still remains, the tied participant who earned the most points in the second-to-last Race of the Season will win. If a tie still exists, the tied participant who earned the most points in the third-to-last Race of the Season will be the Second Place Prize Winner, and so forth until a Second Place Prize Winner is selected. The Second Place Prize Winner will be determined on or about November 22, 2016. The Second Place Prize winner is determined based on skill by earning the second highest number of points for the Game with a single team from a prize-eligible League. Only one Second Place Prize will be awarded across all eligible Leagues.
THIRD PLACE PRIZE: One (1) Third Place Prize (the “Third Place Prize”) will be awarded to the eligible player from a prize-eligible League who has the 3rd largest sum of Weekly Race points for a single team at the conclusion of the Game Period, as determined by Game rules (the “Third Place Prize Winner”) OR is tied with three or more participants for the largest sum, but is not deemed the Grand Prize winner or the Second Place Prize winner, BUT IS deemed the Third Place Prize Winner due to tie-break procedures. If there is a tie for the Third Place Prize Winner position, then the tied participant who earned the most points in the last Race of the Season for that team will be the Third Place Prize Winner. If, after that tie-breaking round, a tie still remains, the tied participant who earned the most points in the second-to-last Race of the Season will win. If a tie still exists, the tied participant who earned the most points in the third-to-last Race of the Season will be the Third Place Prize Winner, and so forth until a Third Place Prize Winner is selected. The Third Place Prize Winner will be determined on or about November 22, 2016. The Third Place Prize winner is determined based on skill by earning the third highest number of points for the Game with a single team from a prize-eligible League. Only one Third Place Prize will be awarded across all eligible Leagues.
B. WEEKLY PRIZES At the end of each Weekly Period, the participant earning the most points for that Week from each prize-eligible League will be placed in a pool of all applicable weekly League winners. Sponsor will select one (1) Weekly prize winner at random from the pool (“Weekly Winner”). Sponsor will be responsible for the randomization of the pool and there will be no ties. Random drawings will occur on the next business day after the scoring for a Race is final. The odds of winning a Weekly prize depend on the number of prize-eligible Leagues for each Race.
C. LEADERBOARD AND RANKINGS The online Leaderboard and rankings within Leagues will reflect the scores of all participants in the Game, not all of whom are eligible to win Overall Prizes. Therefore, the players listed at the top of the Leaderboard will not necessarily be the Winners of the Game. Sponsor’s decisions regarding eligibility and qualification of participants as winners in the Game are final and binding.
D. NOTIFICATION AND CONFIRMATION Grand Prize Winner, Second Place Prize Winner, Third Place Prize Winner and each Weekly Winner are, collectively, the “Winners.” Prize Fulfillment Administrator will notify potential Weekly Winners by e-mail at the e-mail address provided in the Game registration within three (3) business days of the drawing. Potential Weekly Winners, or their parent/legal guardian if potential winner is a minor in his or her jurisdiction of residence, must respond and accept the prize within five (5) business days of receipt in order to claim prize. Prize Fulfillment Administrator will notify potential Grand Prize, Second Place and Third Place Winners by e-mail at the e-mail address provided in the Game registration within three (3) business days following determination of the potential winners. Potential Grand Prize, Second Place and Third Place Winners, or their parent/legal guardian if potential winner is a minor in his or her jurisdiction of residence, must sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release and an IRS W-9 form (for Grand Prize and Second Place winners) within seven (7) days of receipt to claim the prize. If an e-mail notification is returned as undeliverable, or if a potential winner does not respond to the notification within the timeframe, or if a potential winner does not return the signed documentation to claim the prize within the designated time period, or if a potential winner is determined to be ineligible, or not to be in compliance with these Official Rules, then such potential winner will be disqualified, the prize forfeited, and an alternate winner selected and notified in accordance with these Official Rules. Sponsor and Prize Fulfillment Administrator are not responsible for an e-mail notification being sent to a spam folder or otherwise not being received by a potential winner for any reason. Players are solely responsible for checking their e-mails and spam folders for notifications. In the event of disqualification of a potential Weekly Winner, an alternate winner will be selected in a random drawing from among the remaining eligible pool of League winners for the applicable Race. In the event of disqualification of a potential Overall Prize winner during the confirmation process, the alternate winner will be the player with the next highest total number of Weekly Race points for a single team in a prize-eligible League at the end of the Game Period, as discussed above. Sponsor will first confirm Grand Prize winner, allowing for possible replacement by the participant with the next highest point total in the Game and then repeat the process for the Second Place Winner and lastly the Third Place Winner.
GRAND PRIZE: One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive a check payable to the Grand Prize Winner in the amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000). Total ARV for the Grand Prize is $5,000. Sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099 to the Grand Prize winner in the amount of $5000 at the appropriate time.
SECOND PLACE PRIZE: One (1) Second Prize winner will receive certificates for the winner and (1) guest to the NASCAR Racing Experience location of the winner’s choice. Second Prize includes two (2) certificates for the Qualifier Racing Experience at any one of the NASCAR Racing Experience’s 14 Premier Speedways. Approximate retail value (“ARV”) of Second Prize is $1,000. Qualifier Racing Experience consists of a 3-hour session with training and instruction and one 8-minute racing session. Scheduling is subject to availability. Winner and guest must each have a valid driver’s license to participate and must be able to drive a manual shift vehicle. Participants must be a minimum of 5’height / 100lbs and cannot exceed 6’6” height / 275lbs. Winner and guest may be required to sign additional waivers and releases to participate. If a guest is under age 18, winner must be the parent or legal guardian of the guest and must sign a minor release waiver. If winner is under the age of 18, Operator reserves the right to require that the winner take a parent or legal guardian as the guest. If winner is under the age of 16, or does not have a valid driver’s license, or otherwise does not wish to participate in the Racing Experience, winner may use the certificates for a Ride-Along experience instead of the Racing Experience. Height and weight limitations also apply to the Ride-Along Experience. If winner substitutes the Ride-Along Experience instead of the Qualifier Racing Experience, winner may bring up to two (2) additional guests in order to use the full value of the certificates. NASCAR Racing Experience certificates are subject to the policies and procedures established by NASCAR and the applicable track. Second Prize winner is solely responsible for all costs and expenses of the prize that are not expressly included in the prize description, including but not limited to transportation, meals, lodging, and other personal expenses. Any difference between the approximate retail value and the actual value will not be awarded. If winner chooses to upgrade to a different racing experience, all additional costs are the responsibility of the winner. No insurance is provided as part of the prize, and obtaining any insurance, such as but not limited to, travel insurance, health, accident or medical insurance, and property loss or damage insurance is the sole responsibility of the winner and/or winner's guest(s). Experience Certificates may not be transferred or sold. If winner (and/or his/her guest) is not able to use the prize or any prize component, that unused portion will not be substituted for cash or any other prize. Certificates are valid for two (2) years from the date of issuance. There shall be no compensation or prize substitution if winner does not use the certificate within that time period for any reason. Operator will issue an IRS Form 1099 to Second Prize winner in the amount of $1000 at the appropriate time.
THIRD PLACE PRIZE: One (1) Third Place Prize Winner will receive a promotional code good for Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250) of merchandise at the NASCAR.com Superstore. Promotional codes are subject to the redemption policy of NASCAR.com Superstore. Winner is solely responsible for the costs of any merchandise, taxes, shipping or other costs in excess of the $250 face value of the promotional code. Winner is solely responsible for the security of his/her promotional code. Winner will receive an e-mail at the e-mail address used to register for the Game with the NASCAR.com Superstore promotional code within 30 days following confirmation. Total ARV of Third Place Prize is Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250).
WEEKLY PRIZES: Thirty-six (36) Weekly Prize Winners will each receive a promotional code good for Fifty Dollars ($50) of merchandise at the NASCAR.com Superstore. Promotional codes are subject to the redemption policy of NASCAR.com Superstore. Winner is solely responsible for the costs of any merchandise, taxes, shipping or other costs in excess of the $50 face value of the promotional code. Winner is solely responsible for the security of his/her promotional code. Winner will receive an e-mail at the e-mail address used to register for the Game with the NASCAR.com Superstore promotional code within 30 days following confirmation. Total ARV of Weekly Prize is Fifty Dollars ($50) each.
E. GENERAL CONDITIONS: No substitution or transfer of prizes or cash redemptions permitted by Winners. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prizes of like value in the event the described prizes, or any portions thereof, are unavailable for any reason whatsoever. Unclaimed prizes may not be awarded. Winners are responsible for reporting and payment of all federal, state and local taxes due as a result of receiving a prize. Limit one (1) Weekly Prize and one (1) Overall Prize per person/e-mail address.
8. GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS.
A. By entering the Game, each participant grants to Sponsor and its designees the right, without obligation, to use his/her name, entry name, likeness, city and state of residence, score and ranking, without compensation, for the purpose of executing the Game and also for the purposes of advertising and publicizing the goods and services of Sponsor, NASCAR, and all matters related to the Game in any manner or medium, throughout the world, in perpetuity, unless prohibited by law. Participants expressly consent to the posting of their entry names, scores and rankings on the Game Leaderboard on the Website. The Released Parties expressly disclaim any responsibility for, and participants agree to hold the Released Parties harmless against, liability for injury or loss to any person or property relating to participation in the Game.
B. Winners, by acceptance of the prizes, release the Released Parties from any and all liability claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property that may be sustained in connection with their participation in the Game, the receipt, ownership or use of any prize, or preparation, participation, and/or travel to any prize-related activity. Winners assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused by participation in this Game or use or redemption of any prize.
C. The Released Parties and their employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising, promotion and legal advisors are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected or incomplete entries or other communications; (ii) telephone, electronic, hardware, or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties; (iii) errors in transmission; (iv) any condition caused by events beyond the control of Sponsor that may cause the Game to be disrupted or corrupted; (v) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by a prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of a prize, or from participation in the Game; or (vi) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Game. If a participant uses a mobile device to enter and play the Game, standard data charges may apply from the carrier.
If technical difficulties of any kind compromise the integrity or ability to continue online entry and/or Game play, Sponsor and Game Administrator reserve the right to modify or terminate the Game or any element of the Game in their sole discretion. If the Season or any Race is delayed, extended, interrupted, cancelled, or shortened for any reason, the Game may be postponed, extended, shortened or terminated in the sole discretion of Sponsor. In the event of sabotage, acts of God, computer virus or other events or causes beyond the Sponsor’s control that corrupt the integrity, administration, security or proper operation of the Game, Sponsor and Game Administrator reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to modify, cancel or suspend the Game or any element of the Game. In the event of cancellation, Sponsor and/or Game Administrator reserve the right to award prizes in a manner consistent with the spirit of these Official Rules, as determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion. In the event the Game is cancelled prior to the stated expiration date, notice will be posted at http://fantasygames.nascar.com/live.
The construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of any participant, Sponsor, or Game Administrator, are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Florida, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions (whether of Florida, or any other jurisdiction) that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Volusia County, Florida. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules will not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. If any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these Official Rules will be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
